I got my new Q box installed and I asked customer service if my recording will disappear and they said it will not. Now that the box is instally everything is gone. I am angry and I want it fix or full compensation.

There is no way to keep recordings when changing the box.
You can re-download any purchases.
There's no fix and your chances of 'compensation' are slim to none imho. (The recordings mechanism is primarily for time shifting and not long term archiving)

The recordings are physcially stored on the hard drive in the box ao no idea how any sky advisor could think they'd survive a box change.
if it was a sky+ box and you still have it, back in the old days there was a way to pull the recordings from the hard drive but that's out of the scope of this forum.

Thank you everyone.
You was right and I was misled and told the wrong thing. I am upset and have lost all our sentimental videos.
