Sounds like you're watching SD or there's something wrong with your TV.
Whilst HD channels are not UHD (4k) they should be more than clear. (The TV will upscale)
You can also have UHD content if you pay the subscription.
Check you have the HD subscription on your itemised bills.

Re: All channels poor picture quality
Of course the HD channels and all others as well. I mean I bought UHD 4K tv ,does it make sense not to have a good quality despite this. Is it Sky responsible for providing the quality of the picture, well I am reading a lot on Google . EVery things Is messed up. I really need help to watch good quality picture.sometimes the small letter on tv are not possible to read. Does sky provide different quality packages. Sorry I have no clue . It might look silly to ask.
thanks

Re: All channels poor picture quality
Can you please describe more what you said . SD or HD channels are decided by sky ?? Or it's the TV setting ?
I am not getting anything to be honest. If the TV is UHD 4k ,picture quality should be UHD(perfect quality) , who can confirm what's wrong with what. I need to know as soon so that I can decide if I need to exchange tV, but mostly I doubt on sky , there is something wrong from their side.

NO.
The quality of the picture is largely decided by the signal that is sent to it. There is a limit to upscaling.
If the Sky box is sending a SD signal then the picture will be rubbish.
Ensure you Sky box video settings are set to 1080i/p or 2160p for starters.
You need to look at your subscription and see if you have HD pack. (And possibly UHD pack too - you will not get any UHD content without it)

Re: All channels poor picture quality
One of the Sky staff had me to take the HD channels (some of the channel are HD, not all) , he said 6 months no charge so I took it after confirming multiple times if they are free as what he was saying . Then they put £9 extra into the bill, I called them to remove the subscription.they are unbelievable. Any how , it was never the case that without buying HD channels , we were still watching good quality pictures. Why we have to buy HD subscription to watch clear photo even after buying UHD 4K tv.
Shall I exchange uhd tv to FHD ?
or it's the sky who are tricking me.
many thanks

Re: All channels poor picture quality
@MissMandeep If you removed the HD element from your Subscription then all you'll receive is SD channel (the exception is the Free to air channels like BBC 1, 2, 3, 4, ITV, Ch4 & CH5 which will likely be in the 800s range on the EPG).
This being the case even the best 4K set cannot clean up a low quality SD picture, you need a decen HD or UHD source to benefit. Look at apps like Netflix which will show the quality you would get in HD & UHD.

As I already stated, the quality of your picture is largely influenced by the signal sent to it.
A UHD TV cannot magic detail out of a low resolution input signal.

Re: All channels poor picture quality
@MissMandeep Your new UHD (Ultra High Definition) TV will really struggle to show a good picture on SD (Standard Definition) channels. The minimum subscription that you should be looking at is HD (High Definition) which should give you a good picture. The additional UHD subscription would then give you an even better picture, but only Movies, Sport and a handful of shows/documentaries are shown in UHD.
You will still get the free to air HD channels without the HD subscription, so take a few minutes to compare your BBC1 picture (should be on Channels 101 and 801) in both formats to compare the pictures.
