Does a new Sky multiroom 18 month contract extend existing contract

Considering Sky Multiroom, currently toying with BT second box as it's cheaper. However my current Sky package is discounted. Would a new Sky Multiroom subscription extend my TV contract at its current price point or would I be subject to standard pricing when discount expires? So 8 months left of existing contract which is discounted. Take up Sky Multiroom on 18 month contract. Does existing discount continue throughout the new 18 month contract or would it revert to standard pricing from month 9? Many thanks

@JemC56 To answer your specific point about the discount, No, the discount wouldn't automatically continue into the new subscription length. You would need to call Sky and try and negotiate that.

Hi @JemC56

If you also want HD as well as mini use then I would think Sky will, work out cheaper.

If you subscribe to BT Sport through Sky then you can watch on Mini boxes. Also through Sky BT Sport in HD is included.
If you subscribe through BT directly then to receive BT Sport on Minis you need to pay BT’s monthly second box charge. One monthly charge covers all minis. Also to receive BT Sport in HD there is an additional BT monthly charge..

I suspect you would have to renegotiate a new Sky contract if you Add Sky Q Multiscreen.
