Adding Gold to package

Am I able to add the Gold channel to my package? I have a basic package at min but unfortunately does not include Gold

Afraid you cannot add individual channels @JoanneJ22 

If you are on Sky Essentials package you would need to upgrade to Sky Signature

hi @JoanneJ22 

Gold is included in the base Signature Subscription (and any older base packages)- the only one it is not included with is 'Essentials' which olnly allows the Free to air channels such BBC, ITV, C4 etc.

Is it possible that you are trying to download without having the HD add on?.

As the default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD then when you try to download and watch you are prompted to upgrade (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

If this is the case you, probably, just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)
