Hi,
So I am now on my 3rd Sky Q box in 2weeks. I was told I needed to change my router over (some legal necessity - didn't really read the email) and since then my old sky box and then a replacement have subsequently failed. Initially having changed to a new router as provided by sky I noticed an issue as the apps which are frequently used suddenly didn't work - none of them at all - sometimes it just said there was a technical issue that sky were working to resolve and sometimes they just didn't load up. Then the old box kept freezing with the fan on when it wasn't hot. Cue the replacement box and exactly the same issue from the get go - it seemed to work fine for a bit then the same issue with apps then constant freezing needing power off reset. Sometimes worked fine for a couple if hours after reset but then would freeze again specifically when not being used. The only issue I could find in the sub menus was that the 5ghz WiFi channel width comes up with an error that was only solved with a full reset. It then seemed to be connected fine, then the apps stopped working then the box just kept freezing all the time.
So now I'm on the 3rd box - and although it will need a few hours to download the apps the 5ghz WiFi issue is already there.
trying to change the 5ghz channel width does nothing - the box just says that it didn't work.
please can someone help me?!?!

Bit beyond me so heres how to get there;
Go to settings without selecting
0 0 1 on control then select
now in higher level settings
then network
then bottom option - 5ghz band width

Sorry - forgive my ignorance and for preaching to the converted!
yes it appears 5ghz is enabled. Interestingly my sky minibus has worked flawlessly through and always shows as 5ghz is connected and has no issues...

A black one - apparently some new government security thing meant it had to be changed
