2nd TV Sky HD

Hi,

I have an engineer due next week to change my sky HD to Sky Q. At the moment I have Sky HQ downstairs, and using an old sky box I have freesat to a TV upstairs. Will upgrading to Sky Q stop the TV upstairs working, or if I keep the old box plugged in which is wired straight to the dish, will it still work?

Thanks all,

You'll need to make sure the engineer fits an LNB that can accommodate both boxes

I am just another Sky customer!

Hi @Blue+Ant,

As @Invisiblename says for your freesat box to work you will need a hybrid LNB but these are becoming thin on the ground and not all engineers carry them by default so best to call and make sure that SKY agree to install one and that the engineer is set to bring one
