Will sky doorbell camera detect my cat sat at the door?

My cat has started to sit at the door instead of using the window but, as he doesn't meow I never know when he's there. 

So I was wondering

1: If the camera on the doorbell could be aimed towards the floor?

2: would it detect my cat either at my door or coming up my ramp towards the door?

@Fizzi  Within the doorbell settings you have  " Person detection settings " and this lets you setup the Activity Zone to how big or small you want it.
