Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

Good morning

Sent a message to technical, but for the 4th time this week my indoor camera has randomly said "ready to connect".

I've removed and reinstalled it each time, but how long will this go on for?

Thankyou

Re: Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

Good morning..

After umpteen messages between Sky Protect technical support I've now disconnected the indoor camera.

It's like Groundhog Day with it "ready to connect" my doorbell is fine.

In fact, if it makes my premiums cheaper you can take the lot back.

It's more flakey than anything Cadbury can make.

Re: Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

Hi

I also have this issue!  I am fuming as I reached out to tech and they said I have to call to get my broadband checked, I have Sky broadband so why she couldn't check I don't know.  I have ended up getting more expensive broadband and now here I am still getting the woes of unable to find the connection

Why is it so complicated and why are the tech people so unhelpful.

I managed the doorbell really easy but this camera for the back door is driving me insane!!  What a waste of time.  So here I go again trying tech team

It's rinse and repeat support with no conclusion.

I disconnected the indoor camera.

Drive me potty with that "ready to connect" garble every day.

Re: Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

I spent over an hour on a chat with tech support turning stuff off on my phone settings. Everything was off I had no idea what the guy was saying I'm fairly Tech minded but it went right over my head.

Bizarrely, I set up a smart bulb which also needed 2g or whatever the camera needs without ANY issues. I ended up just leaving as I was trying to work

Waste of time

Re: Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

I've just come off the phone to both cancellations and tech support.

To cur a long story short we're in agreement they'll send me a replacement indoor camera for me to try.

See it it sorts it out.

Re: Indoor camera "ready to connect" woes

Brilliant can you let me know if it works so I can do the same. I want it for my backdoor for safety purposes which is the whole reason I got this kit

Thanks in advance ☺️
