How to receive notifications
Check your phone settings
First, make sure that your notifications are on by checking your phone settings. Look for Sky Protect and allow notifications by tapping the toggle to on.
For iOS devices, you can also change the types of alerts you'd like under the 'Alerts' section.
Sensor Bridge
To get your sensors talking to the rest of your tech, you need to plug the Sensor Bridge into the back of your indoor camera. This will allow your devices to communicate with each other and send you notifications.
Connectivity and notifications
If your devices are not correctly set up or if you have a weak signal, you may experience a delay in your notifications coming through on your phone.
To help resolve this, please see our help articles here.
How to alter the frequency of your notifications
If you feel you are getting too many or too few notifications, you can adjust the settings of your camera devices to suit you.
Activity Zones
You can personalise the area you'd like your tech to record and give notifications about by adjusting their Activity zones (Video Doorbell and Indoor Camera only). Simply go into the live feed. Tap the settings icon under the 'configuration', select 'activity zones', toggle it on.
Indoor Camera Sensitivity
If you feel you are getting too many or too few notifications from your Indoor Camera, you can adjust the frequency by altering the sensitivity of your device.
You can do this by selecting the device on Home > Indoor Camera settings and adjusting the Motion and Sound detection sensitivity scales under Video recording settings.
You can also choose whether you get notifications from your Leak, Motion and Contact Sensors by tapping into each device's settings and toggling 'Push Notifications' on or off.
Arming and notifications
If you are getting notifications when you don't want them, you may want to change your arming settings.
While your Video Doorbell and Leak Sensor are always on, you can control when your Indoor Camera, Motion or Contact Sensor are armed and send you notifications in the Sky Protect App.
Check out the three different types of arming below:
Manually arm - Just slide the 'on/off' toggle on the Sky Protect home screen.
Arm at set times - Your devices will come on at certain times on the days you choose.
Automatically arm - Turns on your devices when you head out and off when you're in, so you'll only receive notifications when you're out of the Auto-Arm radius. Add additional in the 'people' tab of the Sky Protect App, so your devices know when they're home alone.
