Indoor Camera Battery

Does the indoor camera always have to be plugged into the mains? I can't believe this is the case but whenever I try to disconnect it and move it somewhere that is actually helpful it disconnects...and as a result everything else obviously does.

Surely, it can't have to be plugged in all the time? How have people managed to mount it in a good position with such a short lead and it not look ridiculous in terms of wires etc.....

Yes it is mains only in a way, it's a usb power connector, so can be plugged into some usb power devices or computer usb port for its power.

There is no battery option.

When it's a mains-powered device with no significant internal battery, then yes.

I guess in theory a USB 'power-bank' could work.  Is it USB-2 or USB-C?
