Sky Smart Home app crashing

Device: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

App: Sky Smart Home

(latest version, fresh install) 

 

Issue:

• Live view works fine

• When I open a “person detected” playback clip, the app crashes instantly

• Android shows: “this app has a bug” and kicks me back to home

 

What I’ve already tried:

• Reinstalled the app

• Cleared cache and data

• Set battery to unrestricted

• Allowed all permissions

• Tested on stable WiFi

• Added app to never sleep mode

 

None of it fixed the crash.

Looks like a playback or decoding issue with those clips.

 

However the app worked fine before the update?

 

Could Sky please take a look into this and investigate.

Click on the ? On the home page of the Sky Smart home app.

You will find an email address there, that would be the best option to report your issue.

Would suggest sending an email to Sky Smart Home team.
Click on the ? On the home page of the Sky Smart home app.

You will find an email address there to report your issue.

 

Let them know what make, model and OS of your phone/tablet within the email.

This information is useless as the app will crash even if you navigate to those options. Sky needs to fix their app

In that case on the device play stores you can also  find an email address under App support, or use the 'No I still need help' button here to contact the Sky Smart Home team.
