the sim in your old iphone does not support esim transfer

Im trying to transfer a SKY eSIM from an iPhone Se (2nd generation & supports eSIM transfer) to an iPhone 13 but get an "the sim in your old iphone does not support esim transfer" error:

The eSIM is newly activated and works on the iPhone SE on WiFi & cellular

SKY support have told me that eSIM transfer is supported.

Both phones have:

The same Apple ID

The same iOS version 18.3.1

Connected to the same WiFi AP

Have airplane mode disabled; the iPhone 13 is connected to cellular & the iPhone SE is scanning for cellular.

Any ideas why this isn't working?

I have exactly the same problem. On my new iPhone 16 pro max it says that your eSIM  could not be activated. I am waiting for a callback from sky.
