scam telephone number

Just had a call saying my sim  needed upgraded and would soon not work

I’ve just had a call from them asking me to login to get the SIM card updated as it’s about to stop working , has anyone else had this? Is it real or scam?

It's a scam. Ignore it and block the number (although they may try again using a different number). Hopefully you didn't follow their advice.

They aim to get enough information from you to place a legitimate looking order with Sky Mobile for expensive hardware (typically iPhones) to be delivered to your address which they will then attempt to intercept or convince you to return to an address under their control.
