price increase

You are increasing the price of my mobile data plan. When I started purchasing this phone contract I was not made aware this would change. I do not agree with the changes

@Josh1232  Your price notification should give you the option to cancel within 30 days of receiving the notification, penalty free if you don't agree with it

Re: price increase

Incorrect. Sky firmly will not let me leave without paying a termination fee.

Have you received your letter or email yet outlining the increase?

@chrisdunn

Then they are incorrect as you can and should be able to leave penalty free so I would suggest contacting them again and point this out to them, perhaps quote what it says on the email/letter you were sent.

Then that letter / email notification determines the start of the 30 days whereby you can ask to leave penalty free. I haven't had my notification yet but presumably it gives advice on cancelling should you wish to.

Re: price increase

I spent an hour on chat the day the price increase was announced & the first agent said I could not leave without paying an early termination fee. The second agent claimed they couldn't verify my identity although the previous agent had no problem.

I've had official confirmation of the increase & I still can't leave without paying early termination fees so I think my next point of contact is ofcom

No.

it would be the provider's complaint process first.

Re: price increase

I finally managed to leave. Sent a copy of the email and that seems to have worked. So it is possible.
