Why the internet does not work when at a football ground yet the majority around me already fine

Used to be on EE now with sky but never get the internet or calls working in the Bet365 stadium on match days. I understand it being a high data and signal consumption area for a couple of hours but why does mine never work when others seem to work as normal as if being on Wi-Fi- there is no public Wi-Fi. Are there settings to tweak or change on my iPhone?

Hi @Mannid  purely mast congestion, lots of people using at the same time. Nothing you can do with your phone settings unfortunately.

Thank you but how do you explain all of the people sitting within a couple of metres can all use their phones normally match in and out and it makes no difference if I get in the stadium early

Guessing they aren't on sky ?

Sky uses O2. When you add O2's own customers plus all the virtual networks like Sky, Tesco and GiffGaff that also use O2, it has far too many customers and quickly grinds to a halt in busy places. The other networks (EE, Vodafone, 3) don't suffer as much.
