Why asking bank details to activate free sky SIM?

Subject: Inquiry About Free Sky Mobile SIM Activation

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to understand why you are requesting bank details to activate the free Sky Mobile SIM, especially since you previously mentioned that it would be free for one year.

Could you please clarify how much data I would receive each day, week, or month? Additionally, I would appreciate if you could explain the advantages and disadvantages of the free Sky SIM.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,
Miguel Fernandes

@Broadband+renewal

You are not talking to Sky here as this is a community where Sky customers help each other.

Even if the sim is free for a year payment details are required for when the discount on this ends even though this isn't for a year as you can not be a Sky customer without proving these details.

The 'free' SIM is 100MB per month (Not GB).  (A modern smartphone can use that rather quickly )

It's not intended to be used alone - the intention is to allow access to saved data in the piggybank (from unused data from a paid dataplan).

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
