received an email today about mobile data in piggy bank that as of 1 April 2024
"The way the Roll feature works is changing from 1 April 2024. Your monthly rolled unused data will be available in your Sky Piggybank for 12 months before expiring. Visit sky.com/piggybank to find out more."
I am trying to find out what happens to data already in piggy bank. Have phoned Sky already but the call centre person didn't seem to know.

Thanks again for your comments on this, I wanted to confirm existing Sky Mobile customers won’t see any changes to their Piggybank balance until April 2025. This means you have 12 months to use any Piggybank data older than 12 months.

Nothing unless it's older then 12 months from 1 April.

So anything older than 12 months is deleted? @PandJ2020

Sky Mobile need to be crystal clear on exactly what happens to our piggy bank data on 31st March 2025.
Are they saying that any data that has been accrued up to any including 31st March 2025 will simply be lost without any form of compensation on the 1st April 2025 ?
Surely this is not very fair at all to simply say tough luck even though we have all paid Sky Mobile and built the data up to use at a later date when we need it ?
Sky your thoughts please ....

Not sure 'compensation' comes into it. My understanding of it (and I may be wrong) is
On SIMs activated before 01/04/24 ~ stored data older than 12 months will begin to expire from April 2025.
Sky your thoughts please ....
Sky aren't likely to reply as this is a customer try's to help other customer forum.

There's no limit to how much data you can save, but it automatically expires after 12 months if you don't use it. So, each month, any data that’s 12 months old will drop off your Sky Piggybank balance. We don't send any reminders for this.
For example:
Example:
Say your Sky Piggybank balance is 100GB and the data rolled over for last month is 5GB. So, you’re expecting your Piggybank balance to be 105GB (100 + 5).
But as some data that’s 12 months old has automatically expired, for example, 2GB has expired, your Piggybank balance will be 103GB instead of 105GB (105 – 2).

Find out moreThis would tend to suggest that for many users it will be two years of banked data that evaporates in one go, though, as by definition after the previous maximum 36 months of rolling-over, 24 months of that is 'older than 12 months' at the point the change is applied.

...or you can move to another provider that 'steals' your unused data EVERY month...
At least you still keep data up to 12 months old.

I have just used 100GB of data against the cost of a Tablet swap and when the swap was cancelled the data returned to my Piggybank with the date at 16 January 2024, draw your own conclusions!

Hi @justme5 if the data is 3 years old it would expire anyway and show as that, could this be what's happened ?
