Using Waze in USA

How can you use Waze in the USA and avoid data roaming charges?

Never heard of Waze, but looked it up. You can't use your Sky Mobile is the USA without the £2 daily roaming passport plus. 

Remember there is now a fair usage policy for passport plus. Roaming using Roaming Passport Plus is now limited to 25GB per billing period then it's £2.50per GB. Sky can apparently temporarily suspend the service if used to excess.

 

From Skys own website...

When you roam using our Roaming Passport Plus, we consider that up to 25GB per billing period is a reasonable amount of data to use. If you exceed this amount, we'll assume that you're no longer using data in the way expected of a reasonable customer for periodic travel.

I used Waze whilst last in USA - needs an active data connection.

 

There isn't an offline option.  So would incur the passport plus charges as detailed above.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
