How can I use a USA SIM card when in USA. I want to buy one while there. Do I need to unblock my phone ?

If your mobile was purchased from Sky then it's unlocked and you can use any SIM.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Just to add @Taterboy  if you don't want to incur any roaming charges turn mobile data and roaming off before leaving the UK, don't wait until you land.
