Hi. I recently called Sky to change my address on my Sky mobile account, after the call I received an email saying I have started a new mobile contract. I have tried to email Sky with no success and I have tried to cancel my contract but sky said I will owe £50 for cancelling within the 12 month contract

Something doesn't add up here as I can't see how you can have started a new sim contract for simply calling to ask them to change your address so did they try any hard sell to try to get you to take out a new contract on the sim ?

Re: Unwanted mobile renewal
No hard sell, I have been on a rolling contract I wanted to order a new sim but my account had my old address, I couldn't change address online so had to phone up, no mention of new contract or change or terms and conditions or anything else.

Re: Unwanted mobile renewal
I WANTED to order a new sim but it said it would get sent to my old address so I needed to change address first. I phoned up to change address and that's when I received an email with the new 12 month contract.

Re: Unwanted mobile renewal
The point is, you ordered a new sim and that is why you started a new 12 month contract with it.

Re: Unwanted mobile renewal
The point is I didn't order a sim, I was changing my address before ordering a sim. I was going to get a sim and didn't do it because the address was my old address . The only thing I did was change address. I DID NOT ORDER A SIM OR AGREE TO A NEW CONTRACT

Re: Unwanted mobile renewal
Now you have explained it a bit more by proving more details all we can suggest is that you call Sky ands speak to them about this.
