Unable to connect to network in USA

Have been in Canada for the past few days with roaming working absolutely fine since I landed. Yesterday I crossed the border into the USA (driving) and my phone lost all signal. Tried turning on and off, very brief connection to a 4g network before no service again. Have tried absolutely everything since to get roaming to work here but my phone won't connect to any network, even when taking off automatic selection and manually selecting one. My phone is 5g, I have a 5g data plan with no roaming spend cap, and pretty sure phone is volte compatible with USA roaming, although my model isn't listed on any of the help guides with Sky. However even if it's not, reading online I should still be able to connect to a network just not make calls or text..? Anyway, I've ended up here as (very helpfully) Sky have said to call them to get in contact after their online help guides failed - pretty hard with no signal! Has anyone had this issue and been able to fix it?
