pretty sure phone is volte compatible with USA roaming, although my model isn't listed on any of the help guides with Sky.
What make and model is it?

Sorry, should have added that - Honor 70 lite.

@caesarome my phone isn't listed on that link, I looked on there already and it has other honor phones but not my model - 70 lite.

Annoyingly can't edit my original post or previous replies but this screenshot is from specs for honor 70 lite on another site (three), as it's not listed on Sky's compatability charts.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'm no expert on this but this could be the reason it stopped working the very minute you entered into America. I presume 3G doesn't work either ?

@caesarome yeah so from everything I can find online my phone should work in USA, but there's clearly some compability issue between either my phone or sky and being in the USA. If tried connecting to 4g and 2g/3g networks, none will let me connect.

One suggestion online is that VoLTE may need to be manually activated
Find and tap Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Preferred network type → 4G (preferred)/3G/GSM. Tap the switch beside Enable VoLTE to turn the feature on.

@TimmyBGood thanks, I've tried looking for this but it's hidden on 5g phones on honor and I believe in newest android update. Weirdly I had very brief connection to verizon 4g just now but then it cut out again straight away.. Wondering if sky coverage is just not great in PA state or something.

'Sky' would have no coverage at all: it doesn't in the UK either (where it's an MVNO on O2 infrastructure). Overseas it will have arrangements with one or more local network providers.

@TimmyBGood Thanks, rushed typing in my response so used Sky for shorthand but I am aware sky uses O2's infrastructure in the UK and I meant whoever they piggyback off in the states. Using a Vodafone sim in this phone picks up roaming fine, so clearly a Sky issue that I'm not sure anyone (including them) has a fix to any time soon. Thanks for your suggestions anyway.

Having the exactly the issue at the moment. No signal on my phone in usa. Put my wife's ee sim in my phone and gets a signal.

@sweepsd well kinda glad it's not just me but doesn't look like there's a fix coming for either of us any time soon!

I have the exact problem in Lithuania. I was able to use roaming data for the first week and a half. Yesterday the signal disappeared and I can't use data, or make/receive calls or messages. I connected my husband's hot spot to try to sort the issue but with no luck at all and the sky is a bunch of clowns thinking that I can call them without a signal.
