Text message failed constantly since my mobile data run out.

Hello since my daughter has used up her mobile data now her text messages are now failing, she has unlimited calls and text messages she should not need data for texts. My wife had this problem before with another network provider before. When she had data the text messages would work then misteriously when she ran out of data normal text messages wouldn't work. 

 Has anyone else expednced this? Thanks in advanced. Jimi

Is your daughter using something like WhatsApp ?

Not WhatsApp, our normal SMS service that I grew up with before data came along.

Hi @JimiD1983  what phone is she using ? Is she using RCS in messages as that requires data to send text messages ?

Good morning. She is using a Motorola edge 20 lite.

Try this @JimiD1983 

• Go to the Messages app
• Tap 3-dot option
• Select Settings
• See if Chat Feature and see if it's on.

If it's on try turning off.
