No, it's a scam Sky woul never give away such a high value item and give such a huige discount on subscriptions, did you give out any info?

Scammers are trying gain access to your Sky account to order mobile devices which will vbe delivered then out of the blue you'll get a call to say it's the wrong item and a courier willc ollect it, it will never be returned to Sky but intead the scammers will have the device  leaving you to pay for the item ordered on your account

Please see guidance here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/account-takeover

@Gnp3

Scammers try to obtain sufficient information to be able to order expensive mobile devices under your name which Sky innocently deliver to you. Hopefully you hung up before divulging anything.

The scammers would then recontact you (again claiming to be Sky) saying they have made a mistake and for you to send it to a (non Sky) address. If you did that they then have the device and you have the bill.

They are very cunning. They may send packaging to post the item (to them) or might even send a 'courier' to collect it.

See this link

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it will be a scam call.

Yes it's a scam, if you gave them PII like email address & account number then they may have access to your account, you should change the password immediately & turn on 2 factor authentication (remembering to save the recovery code shown).

I don't know what proportion of the customers who have been contacted in this way actually post it on here but we see similar posts quite often.

I regularly receive calls claiming to be from Sky or my 'mobile provider' offering discounts &/or free devices, I know it's a scam as no company would offer high cost devices for free unless taken with a contract & they certainly would'nt offer a 40% discount.
