Some one tried to buy an IPad Pro on my account

My account showed an order whic h I didn't place, the I receive D message s from sky, say thank you for your order obviously I didn't place an order but it showed that I did

then it was cancelled I have  VPN on my iPad so why did this happen

Usually because your account is compromised.  Common cause can be reused passwords.

Have you been sent any emails saying you need to click a link to keep your account open, if so or if you did do something similar by proving your details to a caller over the phone then this is how they got acecss to your account to place the order.
