Sky sim card on old phone (Nokia 1208)

Hi,

I have a sky sim card, which works on various phones i have tried. However on a very old nokia 1208, when I put the sim card in and turn on the phone on, it gets stuck on the logo, and then restarts. The phone is 100% unlocked.

Has anyone had this issue before or know of a way to get round this.

Have you tried turning it on and once it has finished loading up then inserting the sim or does it go behind the battery ?

That's a fifteen year old handset: has it worked with any other current SIM?

sim slot is under the battery

Yep, I have tried , asda, giffgaff and vodafone and they work fine, its only the sky sim card that is the issue.

Also found another spare 1208 , and the exact same issue.

I know the phone is old, but my mother likes it,, so hence why i want to get it working
