I initiated a swap for an iphone 15 and transferred all my data to the new phone from my iphone 14. It then came to light that i had purchased a whole new contract (no idea how as i followed the upgrade steps).
i called sky who cancelled the contract and told me to erase the new 15 and just keep using the old sim card in my 14 and everything should go back to normal. I erased the 15 but my data/signal never returned on my 14. I followed all the steps in the sky help - like resetting network settings and finally got to the advice to erase phone and reset it up. Biggest regret. I now cant even get into my phone. The apple id keeps popping up asking for a password to email addresses that i dont even recognise - and i cant access anything on the phone as it keeps popping up and wont let me do anything until i enter the correct password.
i am at my wits end - its now an apple problem as well as a sky problem and i still dont know if this will even sort my sim card back to notmal. Any advice would be super appreciated.

Then for the network issue give this a try:
Go to sky.com/networksettings (My Account > Mobile > Settings) and sign in with your Sky iD.
Select the mobile number or SIM name you're having trouble with.
Scroll to 'Resend network settings' and select Request settings.
Save the settings when your receive them and reboot your phone.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDid you purchase the 14 from Sky or a third party?
If the account shown isn't yours & you purchased from a third party store then I wonder if the activation lock was circumvented (supposedly it cannot be done but I've asked & was told it is possible) & now the phone has been reset it is showing the original iCloud account.
If purchased from Apple or Sky & you're the original buyer then you should be able to make an appointment at a Genius Bar to have them remove the lock. You'll require the original purchase receipt.
