Sky mobile Ireland cannot hear callers

I moved from Vodafone mobile to sky mobile last October. Since then, when contacts who I speak with on a regular basis call me we cannot hear each other. I have to hang up and call them back and then have no issues.

From what I can make out if my contacts are Vodafone users, there is no issue but if they are not, we cannot hear each other when they ring me.
I have the issue with callers using Virgin mobile, gomo, and Eir mobile.

i never had this issue with my Vodafone account.

has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Sky mobile Ireland cannot hear callers

I'm not sure what that means. Are you asking me to check something? Thank you

Re: Sky mobile Ireland cannot hear callers

No it's a technical setting, Tele2 seem to handle roaming for Sky Ire.

My call quality wasn't the best, assume traffic maybe routed outside Ire.

if you go to sim settings (sim applications iPhone) make sure you aren't using ">Partners Settings" assuming that's Tele2

the > should be on  >Automatic

Thank you

i checked and the ">" was on automatic.
however ,one of the people who I can never hear called me yesterday and we could hear each other so go figure.
I now have another issue but I'll put it in a new thread -getting to the end of my tether at this point

Re: Sky mobile Ireland cannot hear callers

Perhaps both didn't have VoLTE on?

saying that a connection to a base station oversaturated by streaming especially can cause problems, Quality Of Service should always be given to VoLTE calking but it doesn't always happen that way on any network.

VoLTE in my opinion can be better or worse in any location and the other call partcipant.

Vodafone Ire the MNO unfortunately handle that not Sky the MVNO. As I said it's a issue all over the world, British Telecom EE MNO seems to prioritise data over calls, great data network crap calling quality, voip, apps with voice & video calling in my experience are 50% of the time better than actually using calls on EE for years.
