I recently purchased a new Samsung S20 FE from the internet not through Sky directly. This was to replace my iPhone 8 Plus. Because I got the iPhone from sky WiFi calling was enabled. The new phone is not able to support this (as stated on the sky web info ) if not bought directly from sky themselves.
I have a sky menu app the allows me to switch sim settings to whether I'm at home or abroad. If I set the app to abroad the WiFi calling is enabled along with more apn settings and works great but as soon as I leave a WiFi area it does not switch to connect to my data. I have to switch it back to Home on the sky menu app..... why is this???
I have tried adding new apn settings when the Home option is selected but it doesn't save ???
Can someone help? There must be a way to activate this on the home option or when set to the abroad option to allow me to active the data services.

I have a similar problem. I got my wife to move from EE to Sky mobile on a monthly sim only contract, using her old Samsung S9 (originally purchased from EE). The S9 handset has Wi-Fi calling switched on but it doesn't work currently with Sky. (I have turned if off and back on, rebooted the handset, latest Samsung updates installed etc.)
The phone signal where we live is between 0 and 1, Wi-Fi calling is a must. Anyone know how I can get this to be compatible with Sky please? (WiFi calling worked previously on EE.) Currently I'm in the dog house for making network switch!

Does she have and app on the phone called 'sky menu app' ? If so switch that to the 'abroad setting'
That changes the SIM config...... That works for me

Great news ..... Just remember to switch it back to automatic when you leave the house or a WiFi area to re enable her data and calls. Happy to be of help !!

@Lisa-P1987 Any update on compatible handsets for wifi calling? The list of handsets on the webpage has not been updated for a long time. I want to move over to Sky Mobile (for the data carry over) and have just purchased a Samsung S21, but wifi calling is an absolute necessity where I live.

I have the same question. I need to enable WiFi calling for my wife's Moto G7 and was considering transferring her to a Sky sim only deal. I assumed it would just work but I have found this thread that implies it's not that simple?
Is there any way to find out please as we don't want to buy a new phone just for this - I'll look at other providers first.

@Lisa-P1987 sorry to jump in but I have a new iphone se (2020) which is supposedly on the list of phones that can use wifi calling. I'm on my second phone as the tech people at sky say theres a fault with my first phone and guess what it still does not work. I have done everything possible from reset network settings, factory reset, new sim card and now new phone and still no luck. Rather annoying.

Do you know when Sky are going to get the Samsung S20 FE made compatible correctly with WiFi calling yet?
It works through this sky menu option but it's a pain in the backside...
WiFi calling actually works, just not automatically ...
Can you let me/us know pls. Bearing in mind, I've had 3 sim cards sent to me to try and get WiFi calling working because your agents thought it was a sim fault, then I've even had Samsung support come out but couldn't work out the issue....
WiFi calling works on VODA, THREE, EE but just not Sky which is extremely frustrating.

Also, if you check the Sky website the phone is listed as having WiFi calling aupport?!

Hi I have 3 mobile accounts with sky but my self I use the new Xiaomi 11 dual sim.
If I put any other network sim in the phone its supports that on them just not on my sky sim.
Why if the phone supports Wi-Fi calling are Sky Stopping it on their sim cards?
Might sound like i am being a bit negative here but where we spend a lot of time Sky Mobile is patchy and we have access to my own Wi-Fi and connecting my phone to the Wi-Fi signal I can’t make a call.
If you have any ideas to if and when this will be possible

When will newer Samsung models be wifi-calling enabled for Sky?? I have an unlocked Samsung S21 Ultra that I purchased from Samsung. I am unable to use wifi-calling at home unless I change the roaming setting to 'abroad' within the Sky Menu app. While this is a fix of sorts, it's frustrating as the setting has to be changed back to 'automatic' when away from a wifi signal in order to receive a network signal. Any advice or news of when wifi-calling will be available?
