Sky esim failed to activate
Hello, I ordered a new phone (pixel 9) with an esim and I already have a separate phone and contract which I will be cancelling soon.
I tried to activate the esim multiple times but it failed each time and sky has not called me despite an email saying they would.
Sky virtual assistant just said to post on here so is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks

Re: Sky esim failed to activate
Hi @LH24 are you trying to port your old number from a sky sim to the new sky esim ? As that's not possible.

Re: Sky esim failed to activate
Yes I'd like to keep my number. I used the PAC number to say I would like to transfer the number (I think that's what it does), but why did it let me order an esim then? Do I need to order a normal SIM instead? Thanks for your help

Re: Sky esim failed to activate
You can't port a number from one sky sim to another @LH24 The new sim will have a new number. If you want to port your number to the esim then you need to activate the esim then use the PAC to port your old number to a different network on PAYG then port it back to the eSIM. Alternatively just put your old sim in the new phone and keep that number and data plan.

Re: Sky esim failed to activate
Ok thanks for your help. I ideally didn't want to use my old data plan as it's more expensive (it was cheaper to get a new data plan..) so I would like to keep my new data plan. Sounds like I just need to speak to Sky!

Re: Sky esim failed to activate
You could call sky on 150 @LH24 and ask if they can put the new plan on your old sim but they may say no. Also ask about loyalty discounts, I got a decent discount last year.
