Re: Sim card abroad
No, I'm afraid they do not have such sims so to avoid wracking up large sims get and use a local sim whilst you are out there and make sure data and roaming are off before you leave the UK and to put your phone into airplane mode.

Re: Sim card abroad
No they don't @joeegg52
It is a Rest Of The World destination and costs will be extremely high as per this link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-roaming-destinations-and-charges
The cheapest solution is to get a local SIM card when you arrive or only use free Wi-Fi.
You need to make sure roaming / data are switched off before leaving the UK and switch on flight mode. Once free WiFi is available just turn on WiFi whilst still in flight mode.

Re: Can I use my phone in Dominican republic
Hi @joeegg52 it will be very expensive
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-roaming-rest-of-the-world
Dominican Republic is a rest of the world destination and will cost thousands per gig of data (yes that's correct).
To avoid charges turn off data roaming and mobile data then turn on flight mode before leaving the UK, in the air can be to late. Then when free WiFi is available just turn on WiFi whilst still in flight mode.

Re: Can I use my phone in Dominican republic
These are the charges:
£2,160 per GB (yes this is correct)
£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers
£1.80 per minute to receive calls
£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles
£0.58 per picture message(MMS)
So either use Wifi only or get and use a local sim. To avoid such charges make sure mobile data and roaming is turned off before you leave the UK.
