Scam phone call - SIM card going to be blocked

Hi, I've had a phone call from someone claiming to be at Sky saying that they are upgrading their network and my SIM will be blocked/deactivated in the next few days. I assumed this was a scam and hung up but would like to know if others have had this and/or if this is genuine?

Hi @chris+lane  yes this is a scam and has been mentioned here recently, you did the right thing by hanging up.

Scam certainly. Sounds like it's a variation on the 'you need a new sim to use 5G due to the switch off of 3G'.

I'm getting them a few times a day every day telling me all my sky SIM cards will be blocked, I've hung up to as they get nasty if you don't listen to them.

I've just had a call saying I need I need a new sim asi need to upgrade listened to what he said then hung up I assume this  is a scam
