SIM not working after returning from holiday

I have just returned from 3 weeks in Asia where I have used a local eSIM for data as a secondary line alongside my primary SIM (sky physical sin) for voice. This has worked fine throughout the duration of my holiday, when I landed at the airport I instantly had no service and calls / texts / data do not work, I cannot take calls or anything, nor use iMessage with my number. Has anyone had this issue and how did you resolve? Or is it just a matter of requesting a replacement sim? I don't understand how this can just 'break'. It is definitely the SIM that's the problem as it doesn't work in another device.

To get replacement sim you will need to contact Sky by either using another phone or via social media.

 

You say you have tried it in another phone, is that that phone unlocked (it will be if it was from Sky) and was that phone also abroad ?
