Data roming

Currently in lanzerote, my roming isn't working.

I've been back an too with sky chat, 3 agents in total, non of which are helpful, lying about EE being down to basically get me off the chat.

 

So the problem is persistent.

My phone has updated all the settings, but sky havnt sent the usual message saying welcome etc....

 

My question is, can I manually activate the settings or should I just find a new provider on my return?

Hi @Koolbeans121  have you tried turning off automatic network selection in your phone settings then do a manual search and select from the list to try different networks ?

Yes, i have tried this.

Been back and too with the useless sky employees, going through settings they know nothing about, just script reading.

 

When I select a provider, say Movistar (02) it just says 'sim unable to connect' I'm quite sure it's just a settings issue at sky's end.

I have full signal bars but wont connect to a provider, just says emergency calls only.

I don't know why @Koolbeans121  but there are a lot of reports of issues in Lanzarote and sky don't seem to be able to sort out why.

I've been with them 20 years as a customer, an ill be leaving when I land back in the UK.

There not the cheapest provider by far and definitely not the best.

 

I was in Benidorm in November and had the same issue.

Time to move provider.
