Roaming in Japan

Can someone please advise me if my Sky phone will make and receive calls and text when I am in Japan?

I cannot find any details on costs etc at all and it is not on the list of countries where roaming doesn't work ie like Japan.

Hi @Charlie+G66  Japan is no longer showing as a roaming destination with sky mobile. When it was it was £2160 per gig of data, so very expensive. You will be able to connect to local WiFi networks when there and use WhatsApp etc or use a local sim. To prevent any high accidental charges turn off roaming and mobile data in your phone settings then put the phone in flight mode before leaving the UK and then just turn on WiFi when you are there.

No you should switch to another provider before going to Japan. It caused me lots of problems while I was there

As stated on your other thread, roaming is no longer available in Japan.
