Hi I'm fairly new to sky mobile and seem to have an issue with my eSIM burning through my data at an alarming rate!
Only been with sky mobile for just over a month and already had warnings that I was close to my limit!
This never happened with my old provider, i regularly lost quite a large percentage of my data as my then provider didn't roll it over, one of the reasons I changed to sky.
Can I revert back to a physical sim?
I have heard from other members of the community that this has proven problematic with people not being able to use their phones at all ??
Thanks in advance
Ian

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you able to order a physical sim as a replacement then delete your esim as per this:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/esim-sky-mobile-transfer-sim
Not sure if this would work or not ?

Hi caesarome
Thanks for getting back so quickly
Apparently that has been the issue other members have reported.
They order a new physical sim to replace the eSIM but for some reason the changeover is blocked and they lose the use of the phone!
Have you heard of anything similar?

Have you had this sorted? As I'm currently having the same issue with Sky?
Was sent a new physical sim last week, when I went to activate it I accidnelty clicked on the eSIM bit, but realspied straight away and didn't go any further (scan QR code) but the minute I did it, it cut my mobile off. Rang Sky to get it changed back to a Sim, as could no longer do that through my account. Was told it would be back up and running within 24 hours. 2 days later and after numerous calls to Sky it's still not on. They are sending a new physical sim out. But I'm still not hopeful this will fix the issue. As no where in my account can I activate a physical sim, only a eSIM still. The people have no clue what they are doing and just read of a script and when they can't get you off the phone and you ask to go higher than them. They just transfer you to a random department
