Repairs

Hi,

my daughter smashed the back of my iPhone 14 pro max. Would tech team be able to fix it. I've only had the phone since September last year and she accidentally smashed it a month ago.

I don't have much money to get it repaired so how does it work and would they? It has no insurance on it.

@Mickeymoo666   Any accidentail damage repairs will need to be paid for, they won't cover them for free.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Repairs

@GD1 so even if it's under warranty as I've just spoke to sky support and it's under warranty so they will fix it.

@Mickeymoo666  Warranty normally cover defects to the phone, not damage that is caused accidentally.

From the link posted by @Daniel0210

Physical damage, including accidental damage (like a cracked screen or liquid damage etc.) isn't covered by your warranty. You might be charged for any repairs and won’t be eligible for a replacement.

Your repair options:

  • If you bought your phone, tablet or accessory through Sky, send it to us to get a quote for repairs.
  • Send your device to the original manufacturer to get a quote for the repair – see their website for details.
  • Use your Sky Mobile Protect Insurance.
  • Use your own insurance.

Re: Repairs

I don't know what to do either. I reported a fault on the phone Not long after I've received it. The fault is still there even though repairs said no fault on the phone.

Every time I direct this to the right person, they loop me background to The Beginning.

When reported difficulties Speech difficulties Among other things I just got a generic email back asking me to do stuff that I was reporting I was struggling with.

You did offer to Look into repairs, but that means I will I will have no phone, that's something I cannot live without Due to disabilities. Also, I have to keep this phone as part of an investigation, but if it was fixed originally which I have video evidence to prove this issue continuously when I got it.

With Phone, Can't phone any support numbers that have multiple-choice options because it doesn't work.

I know I have a reported over a year now I'm asking if anyone else has advice.

Re: Repairs

Thank you I forgot to add that. Apologies if my post doesn't make sense due to I have to use AI technology to conduct all messages.
Thank you for your quick response, and links asi struggled to find. I have gone through all of these routes already More than once.

Due to a cognitive difficulty

completing and understanding emails.

I can't go around again as too stressful.

Apologies a lot is copy and paste and the phone that struggles to understand Speech to text and AI but it's my only way of Communication.
