Whilst on holiday abroad my phone (android) repetetively showed "refreshing sim data". This caused a constant drain on the battery. Turned on airplane mode and the prompting stopped. Anyone had similar experience and how do you stop it

@Gippa4288 That usually happens when the sim is struggling to connect to a mast(either due to mast issues or coverage issues), there isn't anything that can be done to stop it unfortunately.
