Received call from sky

Received a call from an Indian gentleman named mark to advise me that due to being a loyal customer with sky he was giving me 40% off my mobile bill, bit suspicious asking loads of questions. Is this a scam ?

Did they ask for your telephone password as they should do if it was actually from Sky. If they didn't then while we can't say for sure but the chances are it is a suspect one at the very least.

I would assume it is.  I would never give any information via this route.

There are a number of known scams where accounts are accessed to order expensive mobile phones and the like.

I suspect it is a scam. I receive these purporting to be from Vodafone, EE, O2 etc so know they're not genuine.
