Possible scam

I think I have just been scammed. Received a call from Sky on an 0204 number offering me 40% discount on my monthly bills. I was then offered a phone upgrade. I am a bit worried as this caller has my bank details. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way I can contact Sky as if this call was legit I want to cancel the upgrade I was supposedly offered

Yes, you have been scammed.

What will happen next is they'll order expensive mobile devices on your account and will arrange for them to be 'returned'.  i.e. they'll go to the scammers and not Sky.  They'll have the phones and you'll be paying for them.

You need to speak to Sky and your bank ASAP...

@Rompy75  I would also change your Sky account password if you've not already done so.

@Rompy75

The scammers will attempt to intercept the delivery or have you 'remedy the mistake' by sending items to an address under their control: obviously don't do this, and don't trust any unsolicited inbound communication regarding the issue.

Re: Possible scam

Thanks all. I reported this to Sky who actually cancelled both purchases that were made on my account so I'm not expecting any deliveries. My account details have also been changed and my bank notified.

Alas you'll now be on what's known as a 'suckers list' so be prepared to receive more scam calls claiming to be from other companies saying that they can save you money or that there's unrecognised charges on your card/bank account/Amazon.
If anyone calls asking for account, bank or card details then it is a scam - hang up immediately & if you want reassurance about the call then phone the company on one of their verified numbers & ask if they'd just called you.
