Physical SIM card network not found

I put my existing physical sky SIM card into a new iPhone 16 and it states network not available.  Can anyone assist?

Is the new iphone from Sky ?

No, the original iPhone I had was on Sky contract, there was then a fault with it.  I sent it to Apple who could not repair it and sent me a brand new phone yestersay

Can you be sure the phone that Apple sent you isn't locked to a different network ?

Have you tried refreshing the network settings on it:

Go Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. You will need to set up your Wifi connection again.

Thanks for your help, I've tried all of this and nothing has changed.

Do you know if the phone is unlocked, can you try the sim in another unlocked phone to see if it works ?

Yes the phone is unlocked.  Whilst my phone was away for repair I put the SIM card in an old phone and had the same issue, this old phone was also unlocked.
