Phones that work on the sky network (Mobile Data)
Hi All, I moved over to Sky, long story short I was having issues with my mobile data completly dropping. I would need to shutdown the phone and then it would work again. If I then went to a different area (like a distance in a car) the same thing would happen again.
Its not limited to moving as well, I could have to restart my phone 4/5 times a day in work to get mobile data signal.
When I logged a complaint about it I was informed that Sky have mapped over the majority of popular brand phones (Apple and Samsung) but the less popular ones (Like One plus) arent mapped accorss on the Sky system and therefore drop off. I was told that they want to map all accross but there is no set timeframe (not done in 3 months anyway)
The reason why I am asking this question is my One plus Nord phone packed it in and I dont really want to get a new phone where the above keeps on happening. So I am asking have people experianced this with other brands (nothing phone for example).
I have looked at the device support page but that hasnt been updated since this issue so I cant really rely on it.
I have probably made no sense above but If I did can you let me know what phones work on the network so I can narrow it down to what I want to get.
I would be looking at a decent Mid Tier phone.
Thanking you all in advance,

Re: Phones that work on the sky network (Mobile Data)
@Skydataissues I'm pretty certain that whoever you spoke to at Sky was talking nonsense, having a less popular brand of phone should not cause network drop off(I myself have a Oneplus 8 pro, using a Smarty sim and never have an issue).
It may be worth resetting the APN settings to see if that helps https://www.sky.com/help/articles/mobile-data-and-picture-message-settings.
