Phone assigned to some else

Hi,

Please my phone number got deactivated and assigned to another caller by SKY. Please how can I stop this as the person will be getting my private information as I used that number to register on so many sites.

@Bieyuwa1  If you cancelled your sim the number will be recycled, if your old number is still registered with the various companies you need to update them with your new number

 

It does not mean the person woth your old number has access to your data as they would also need any associated login details to any websites/companies that you gave the number to.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Were payments up to date? Sky may have cancelled your credit agreement if you’re in arrears for 56+ days.

@Bieyuwa1  You stated it was deactivated, that would only happen if payments were more than 56 days overdue, is this what happened?

 

If so Sky won't be able to get the number back if it's been reassigned as the number would have gone back into the number pool, and that would only happen after a period of time.

 

There's more to this than you've told the community.

 

A number would not be taken from an active mobile account only 2 reasons would exist for the number to be reassigned, cancellation of the SIM contract or deactivation due to none payment.
