PAC code

Hi everyone, I recently joined Sky from EE for mobile.

I went to branch for a replacement sim as mine didn't get delivered, so retail people got me a replacement and whilst I was getting home, I found out that my EE SIM card was dead so transferred my sims around. Today came along and my number has not been transferred yet.

Was wondering if anyone can help me please, how long will this take for the number to be transferred? Should I have kept my EE sim in till today to transfer it over?

many thanks

In that case the number should transfer to your Sky anytime today and if not it should happen tommorow at the latest.

Re: PAC code

I just gave my PAC code to sky for transferral to my new SIM from Sky. I then put the new SIM into my phone without realising I should keep the old SIM in and wait till it dies. When I popped the new SIM in I got a text from SKY to say everything was set up and I had a brand new number.

I really dont want that. Can anyone tell me if this new SKY number Ive been given will eventually switch to my old number ?

Ive got the old SIM in now and everythings still working fine on EE so I assume it hasnt switched (yet?).

Thanks for all replies

Hi @TessaB porting doesn't happen on weekends so if you have given Sky your PAC today it will be Monday or Tuesday before the port happens. Use your EE sim until it stops working then switch it with your sky sim.

Re: PAC code

Thank you @63johnw that is much appreciated and makes so much more sense now.

Sky have since texted me to say that my number will be transferred on Tuesday (hurrah). And then texted straight after that with how much money theyll be taking  lol.

So glad this community is in place otherwise Id be panicking.

SKY people, maybe you need to look into making your instructions idiot proof so that folkes like me can understand it.
