Ordered a new phone won’t accept pac code

I've been with sky mobile for ages, ordered a new phone today and want to keep the same mobile number. But it won't accept the pac number I got even though it's the same number I already have with sky. Have I missed something can anyone help with this one? Thanks a lot

You can't use a pac to move a Sky sim number to a different sim so you can either use the new sky sim (if you were sent one) and this will mean you will have a new number or transfer the number to a PAYG network them back to your new Sky sim.

Thanks for that. That sounds really complicated so I need to sign up to another network and then move back again to sky to keep the same number? Have I got that right? Thanks a lot

...or simply move your current SIM to your new phone (and don't activate the new one)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Did you order another Sky sim because if you did and you have activated it you will now be paying for both of them so if you want to keep the number you have then just move the sim to your new phone and call Sky on 150 to cancel the new sim you activated.
