I joined Sky in Sept 23 moving from Vodafone, upgrading to an iPhone 15 Pro. I received a temp number during my number port. Lets say the temp number ends 001 and my actual number ends 002. The port completed and everything worked.
This was until a couple months ago when a few friends complained that they were unable to contact me and my number had resorted back to 001, with 002 also working. I then receieved a connection request on Find My for a lady in Portsmouth. I connected with her on Facebook and she explained that she had recently taken a phone with Sky for her son. Her main number being 001. She then explained that she was recieving texts that were meant for me and my contacts were complaining that when they text me, it was going through to the 001 number with there being no distinct differentiation between both numbers on my phone.
From my end, it seems as though our numbers are tethered together and this is in conjunction with our imessage and SMS. Is there a way to remove the 001 number from my account and maintain the 002 number. Weirdly, 001 isnt showing up for me on the MySky, Calls and Facetime apps.
If anyone has the skill to wrap their head around this, I would greatly appriciate any assistance. I can also answer any questions you may have to help resolve this mystery.
Many thanks,
Joe.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAll we can suggest is to call Sky to see if they think sending you a replacement sim will change the number back to 002 as it should come with the transfered number so might fix this issue. The number to call Sky on is just 150.
