Number not ported, keep being told to wait. How to leave

What a utter shambles this has turned out to be!

Is there a way to get a PAC code over the phone rather than text as i have no services since moving?

If this isnt possible can i join a new provider with their sim card number and port my number over at a later date?

I was leaving under the 31 day cooling off period, i assume they will need to hounor that if this issue lasts longer than 31 days, which is preventing me from leaving during this period?

I cannot be without my phone, I have 2 phone appointments next week, need my phone for maps for driving for work and to top it off I can't even make any payments online as my bank sends me a verification text each time I make a payment! So that's some late fees I now have thanks to Sky!

The story....

Moved over from Three, activated sim 26th July got text to say number will be transferred on 30th July.

Called 30th July due to "emergency calls only" to be told to wait 3 days. Not good enough! I was then cut off when I asked to speak to a manager.

Called back (from another phone) to be told it's a porting issue to wait 24 hours, and I would get a call back the next day. I gave my landlines but they called my mobile, which can't get any calls!

Spent 2 hours on the phone from 8am this morning and was passed back and forth to 5 different people!

After being told by the 2nd person they would refer the issue to the networking team and the would "call" me in 5 days! I decided I needed to leave.

Was passed to cancellation team who said they can only issue a pac code via text, eas passed back to technical support, was passed to a manager and then transferred back to cancellation team after he told me they can give me a pac code some other way.

Cancellation team somehow managed to avoid discussing this and instead sent a referral to the network team, saying they would call me in 48 hours (call me if they fix the problem, didn't say what would happen if they didn't!)

Been given multiple different timescales and going by previous posts this is an ongoing issue that is taking weeks to sort out! I couldn't even get an answer as to the 48 hours, or it was 48 working hours or not, this would take me into the weekend!

Sky might be able to issue you with a pac code if you call them but in any case you can transfer the number to a new network anytime you want as long as you do not cancel it via Sky.

do you know if sky can give me the pac code over the phone, or before the porting issue is fixed?

Do you know if they will hounor the cooling off period if it goes beyond 31 days?

I would call them but don't have another person with me to use their phone at the moment

As I said, they might be able to but you will need to find a way to contact them.
