Not happy with Sky Trade In
I paid my IPhone 14 Pro Max 256 off and decided to trade it in with Sky Trade in . I sent it off on the 9th via special delivery . I didn't hear anything . My fella posted his (he is with o2 ) at the same time. It went to the same place . He got a text on 14 November saying basically that they have the phone and his payment is being processed . I got a email from Sky saying that they don't have the phone .
I emailed them and phoned them asking what is happening and told them of all the details with tracking numbers .
Today 16 November I got an email from sky telling me that their has been a change in the quote and offering £0.00 , that's shocking 🤬🤬 . They say it doesn't turn on . I don't know why as it was in perfect condition and turned on before I sent it . Not sure what has happened, I'm livid . Has this happened to anyone else ?
I have emailed them basically refusing their offer and want my phone back . I hope the issue is that it's just needs charging up .. If not I don't know what I'm going to do . Just not happy . Not a great start to my holiday ..
Sorry for the essay TIA
Kind Regards
Anita

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
When you get it back and if it does need charging either get back to Sky Trade in about this to see what they say or perhaps sell it privately elsewhere.

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
I've done the same with my iPhone 13 Pro, sent it away in perfect working order and they've changed the quote by £200 claiming there is a camera fault. Well there wasn't when it left here. I too have asked for it to be returned.

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
I'm not impressed with them so far. I might try to sell elsewhere . You can only get in touch with Sky trade in via email only . Not sure even if they have received my last email . They have ruined my holiday over worrying about my phone .
Thanks for taking the time to reply . I'm

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
I hope you get your phone back soon .
im totally confused of what is going on with me . I suddenly got an email to say they are paying the full amount now . Mind I have been on the phone trying to sort things out. Got told they only deal with swop via the phone . The trade in got to email them . It has put a dampener on my holiday with all the worrying . Thankyou for replying to my post .

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
I have just had this exact same situation occur and I am not happy.....
Sent off the phone with the original box and unused charger. All packed in nice and snugly to the prepaid box they sent me, to ensure nothing happens in transit. Over a week goes by when I receive an email from Sky saying they hadn't received my Trade-In. Checked the tracking number and said it it was delivered over 5 days beforehand, so emailed them asking what's going on. Within 2 hours, I receive an email stating the valuation had dropped from (an already ridiculous) £120 to just £24, due to a damaged frame!
I emailed back asking for photgraphic proof as the phone has always had a case and screen protector and was in near perfect condition when I packaged it up. The photo sent back to me was nothing short of shocking. It looked as if the edge of the screen had been melted with a crack across the edge of the phone. Honestly, to say I was livid was an understatement.
I emailed back to say I was still proceeding ahead but only simply because I had no evidence it was near perfect before it left, so they'd send it back as is and I'd have to fix it but also becuase they were offering an additional £300 on top of any trade-in value as a special offer against the new phone.
I will 100% not be using them again and will be raising a complaint, although I'm not expecting much to happen from this.

Re: Not happy with Sky Trade In
@RossyB Lesson here is always take photographic evidence yourself when returning an item so you have proof of what it looked like before you packaged it

It's a very sad life we live when that's the only option in the future, however you're absolutely not wrong.....
