No wifi so data used

My wifi with Sky is down, and estimated to be back up on 31st, 10 days after. As a consequence all in my household have had to use a lot more data than normal. There are 6 of us. Can I claim this back? I can claim the broken wifi back, but this has also cost a lot of data.

You can't claim back anything for using more mobile data but you should get automatic compensation credit for your loss of broadband:

Thanks for the reply.

The reason I asked was because of no WiFi, all of the household have to use data we wouldn't of normally.

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).

Unfortunately there’s no such scheme in place for customers in the Republic of Ireland.

While that is understandable there is nothing in place for using more mobile data I'm afraid.
