No network !! Can’t make calls or texts or use phone without WiFi

I have just changed from EE to sky & not happy .. have no network , can't make calls or texts nothing without bring in my WiFi . 
Not good for this day & age . 
wish I stayed with EE . 
called yesterday , not resolved , person just said sending me a new SIM card .

Does your phone show as being connected to the Sky network ?

No it doesn't show sky on my mobile just one tiny little square on right hand side
